backups wont work on softmodded wii

recently put homebrew channel on and when i tried to put a backup it wouldnt read it, wii or gc, for gc i get an error "Failed to read DVD 263 Error 0x3023a00 No Disk" we burned the backups on dvd-r at 2.4x speed so i think i might have messed up with an ios, can someone help me? its 4.2u

its supposed to be the ones after lu64 right? mine is lu40, which is why i think it might be a missing ios that i might have forgot to put in

try the wiihacks 4.2 guide , i found it very easy to use. what disks are u using

im using sony dvd-r, and ive been burning at the slowest speed

i have that the verbatim dvd-r work best for me
