Got two Hitachi here 78 & 79 that won't eject, are there any options to recover these drives, I don't need the key on it or anything. De soldering and flashing with a programmer isn't something I want to do either as I don't have a programmer. JungleFlasher isn't detecting this. Anything I could try before tossing these out?
Thanks.
Edit: After doing some more searching I guess there isn't other way other than to reprogram it, because mode B cannot be accessed since its part of the fw chip.

Hitachi drives are the most difficult to unbrick. Most of the time, they are only good for parts. More than likely you will have to buy new ones...especially if they got that way during midflash.
"All drives should be updated to Lite Touch + (LT+) firmware if playing on XBOX live. Samsung drives and pre-78/79 Hitachi drives do not utilize AP 2.5. All other drives are considered to be detectable by Microsoft (YMMV). Make sure all rips are ABGX verified, contain SSv2, and patched AP2.5 (where needed). XGD3 must currently be burned on new drive with PC Burner Max firmware for 100% rip. All modded consoles can be potentially unsafe for use on XBOX live."

Did some more searching...
1. external programmer
2. chilifix (mod chip to recover drive and [?prevent future bricking?]) I'm guessing there are more chips that does the same.
3. Connectivity Kit
4. Replace
Don't have any of these or willing to spend money or time in these. I could use a programmer tho. I'll just scrap it unless there's some software I should try or some hardware method that is cheap to do... Then again these drive isn't important to me.
