So, the new jtag I got has a cygnos that does the jtag (was like that when given to me). It only has XBR 3 on it though which bothers me because now I can't use my USB pen drive as a memory card.
So, I've been looking around trying to figure out how to make freeboot 32 for the cygnos, but am not getting very far.
So far, here are odd things I've ran into as a cygnos n00b. First, when I dump my on board nand (switch for cygnos turned off) and open it in flash tool, it says bad kv, smc, all that stuff on the right hand side of the screen. Weird to me, but I also know that cygnos uses different nand setup stuff.
Then, it does the same thing when I dump the cygnos nand (switch turned on).
Those are both odd to me lol
So, then I open freeboot toolbox 2.4 and select cygnos wiring blah blah, paste my cpu key and open the nand i dumped from the motherboard, not the cygnos. The process finished fine and stuff, but when I open the new freeboot.bin in flashtool, it reads all bad info PLUS it reads it as retail falcon. wtf?
So, does anyone have some help for budro? lol

EDIT: Solved my own problem. Because of the different configuration of the nand used for cygnos, it will not open properly in non-cygnos applications. However, if it opens at all, regardless of the "bad kv data" blah blah blah, then assume it is a good dump (after, of course, dumping several times and comparing them).
Then, freeboot toolbox 2.4 makes the image (open the image from your on-board nand), flash that image, and bam, done.
Easiest jtag upgrade ever. I may never do another non-cygnos jtag again lol.
