Connection problem DM500S

Hi all I have a problem with my DM500S. When I try to download plugins I get an error message with the link of the file I am trying to connect to and then a message please wait connection in progress. I know my box is connected to my router because I can see the port flashing every now and again and also I can ping the box. I have also switched to open DNS to see would that fix the problem but no joy.
Asecond issue I am having is if I reboot the box it forces me to go through the whole setup again including a channel scan but this seems to be because I cannot save the previous settings I seem to go around in circles and then I just press exit and do the scan. Any help appreciated.
I am using Nabilosat darkstar 2 as my image.

Have you tried re-flashing the box, if not give it a go to see if that will help, I'm using Darkstar2 myself and have to say I never has any problems with it.

agree with dub12. the image you downloaded must be dodgy. there is no way you should have to go through the setup each time. try a different image. it likely will solve your other problem

Have an issue with a couple of channels not coming up. I have At The Races with sound but no picture also Racing UK has no sound or picture, but if i leave the channel on for a minute or two the picture and sound comes on for about 5 seconds then goes again.

Any suggestions please?

at the races is a problem with the dreambox. you can get pid 520 on the dreambox which is the interactive channel for the at the races channel. however pid 518 which is the real at the races channel does not work on any version of dreambox. it does work on other boxes but not on the dreambox. this issue has been raised and is being looked at. as for racing uk, well your description would indicate that you are using a pay-server. so i suggest if you want these channels that you buy a subscription
