I'm trying to rip a short film from DVD to encode it into WM9 for streaming download, but every time I decrypt the DVD (tried using DVD decrypter, and DVD2avi) onto my hrad drive - and go to encode it, I find that the size of the film has changed so that instead of having the two black bands at the top and bottom like a normal film, it is stretched to fill the whole screen.. completely distorting the picture... and makes the encoded film look stupid... it's driving me mad, i've tried everything.. pls help!!

How can I ensure that when I rip a DVD, the size of the movie stays the same?
