Hi

Just bought a PS3, wondering if I need to open any ports for online play. Cheers.

Any other tips appreciated!

For some games like COD MW 1 and 2 and a few others it helps, sometimes it helps a lot. Here is a list of common Ports to forward.
TCP Ports: 27014-27050 UDP Ports: 1500, 3005, 3101, 27000-27030, 28960

This is a good link for any ports that you may need to forward for any game. http://www.portforward.com/cports.htm

This is a good site on how to set up your router to Port Forward.

There is a good thread on here for putting your PS3 in a "DMZ" which is fine to do if nothing else is running on your network.
