Please help!! Swapping Liteon laser with Benq Laser

Please help!! I was getting a lot of dirty disc error and open tray error; so I swapped my Liteon drive laser with Benq Laser. It plays DVD movies and CD fine. However it reads original and backup games as DVD. It marks "Play DVD". I am aware that this happens when swapping drives. However, I have the same Liteon board and everything. Only the Laser change. Do i need to spoof my drive just for a laser change? Please help am really lost.

"SOLVED"
Just posting to say that I got it to work. Apparently, all I had to do was screw down the X-Clamps to the metal casing. I don't see how that helps, but that's all I did, and its working fine. Thanks anyways.

Well Lite-on lasers aren't always the same as benQ lasers. They will work, but you may have to do a POT adjustment.
