hi, when doing the mra hack, do i have to use one of the 18 20 22 ohm resistors? i only have 1k or 10k 1/4w resistors will any of these? work?

Nope, must be a 22 ohm resistor. Many people have had problems with the 22 ohm and had to go with the 18-20 ohm, so if anything, you need LESS resistance, not 978 ohms more, :).
Don't go below 18 though.

hi, i done the hack today, i got the 22 ohm resistor and soldered all the wires as in boxxor hack, all looked clean and tidy, did the 3 cuts also nice and tidy, but my drive wouldnt be detected in jf or dosflash32? iv soldered over the cuts and removed the wires and all is fine playing originals? any ideas pls?

Not sure why you went through all this. All you needed to do was use 2 cuts. Then use a vampire or Probe II to dump the firmware.

i tried again and it still didnt detect the drive it just flashing green power light, its gone back to stock ok, playing retail. il wait till my transistors come monday and try using the home made probe, maybe that will work?

Should be the only way you should be doing it. Why are you using transisistors? They are not needed with a probe

im using the transistors, resistors, dsub connector, to make the connectivity kits that plugs into the serial port on my pc, and a probe and power supply.

Would have been easier just to buy a connectivity kit
