How to install new harddrive

Hi,
Ive been playing on my flashed 360 for a few months now but when i tried to put in another harddrive it won't play any copied games.

Do i need to do anything to get the games to start working?

When you say "but when i tried to put in another harddrive it won't play any copied games. " do you mean another console? If so you won't get any joy as each console has a unique key which matches both the motherboard and the disc drive of that console.

I have tried to put another harddrive into my flashed xbox, as my current one is playing up.

When I put the new harddrive in my 360 it doesn't play backup games but when I put my current harddrive back in it plays them fine.

I wasn't aware that the harddrive would stop the disc drive from reading the games.

Do i need to do anything to the harddrive to be able to play my backup games?

That's a problem ive never experienced.Ive got a few 360's and swap the hdd's around as i only have 3 of them and 4 consoles.Never had a problem with swapping them.If you have a data cable you could try saving your profile and games saves to your pc or laptop and format your hdd and put your info back on and see if that works.Sorry i couldnt be of much help.I'm sure one of the guys on here with better knowledge will be able to assist you more.
