Xbox Extender Issue

Hey Guys,

Curious if anyone has every had this issue. I've been using the Windows Media Center Extender with my Xbox 360 and my new laptop. I have good signal strength between the two, but for some reason the xbox will disconnect from my laptop randomly during playback. This was working with no issue on my old laptop. Anyone have any hints where I should be poking around to fix this?

my guess is your laptop is falling asleep and turning of the wifi connection. Check your power management options in windows on your laptop.

Media Center plays Xvid\DivX and HD MKV's.

Yeah I was going to say that it plays Xvid fine. I've checked all of my settings for computer sleep / hibernation and they were all set to off. The only thing I can figure is there is something buggy with my wifi adapter in the laptop, I'm going to try and re-install the drivers.

check the drivers settings, there might be a power save function that turns it off after XX minutes of inactivity.
