Yes, you need either a Kreon Drive making sure you manually patch your backups with the SSV2 DMI/SS .bin files through ABGX360 if your planning on going on Xbox Live. Or you can get a Xbox 360 drive flashed with 0800.

If you go to samsungdrives.com, it's already flashed with the V1.0 firmware.

Its comes flashed, and I'm not sure about getting any samsung drive. You could try jungleflasher and see what firmware they have to offer.

no problems so long as you have the original disk you will then have a 100% success rate of a working backup,if you download the iso that's a different story it'll be pot luck if it works or not
flashed samsung drive-for reading game disk
xboxbackup creator software it's free for creating game iso
clonecd for burning
dual layer dvd from verbatim that's made in singapore-no ifs or buts these are the recommended disks not because others won't work but for quality reasons
As for how to create the game there's plenty of tuts, reason i use clonecd for burning is it was mentioned here at AD was by one of the 360 forum regulars a while ago, can't say i disagree i've never had a faulty burn with it refer to my first paragraph & i'm not talking about just a handfull of games

Any brand CAN work.
Verbatims WILL work.
