Hi,

I would appreciate your help with a number of questions that I have.

I had a starview 3 box for 2 years with Cho*us/n*l which worked fine until March 10 this year, when they switched to nag3 coding.

I am now researching what set top box will work in Ireland - specifically Kildare and Dublin 14 area.

- we receive signal via Chorus cable (no satellite on roof)
- will the Dreambox500c work in absence of the Starview 3 or what box will do the same job as the Starview 3?

At present no box is working in Ireland on cable, that may change soon with the Kryptview 780, if you have a sat dish you can look into dreambox500s other than that keep checking in for news of the KV release.

What other options are there - that are similar to starview 3? ( i.e., download software, plug cable in and go. )

I have a starview 6 that would appreciate your help with. I understand that it needs to be constantly connected to the internet to work. Do you have instructions for installing / set one up?

not in that direction
no cable boxes are working in ireland ,starview.6 stopped working here on 18th june when they found the server!
but you can look at the sat thread in regards the c/s option
