hi everybody im about to try and mod my first 93450c dvd drive i went and brought a new computer a hp pavilion s5503w because all the usb ports went out on my old one (hp s3023w this one did not have the card built in but it did have the slot for my vt 6421a card) i get it home and open up my new computer and it didnt have a slot for my 6421 card but it did have two sata ports they read sata 2 (it is blue) and the other sata 3 (its yellow) so im wondering if i can use one of those sata ports in stead of my 6421 card and if i cant im screwed because theres no where to plug the card in. well any help or suggestion would be a big help thanks everybody

Best thing is to try it and see, if its doesnt just buy as USB PCI card for your old computer and use that

Thanks miketrev for your suggestion. the sata ports didnt work i returned the computer and brought another one that had the slot for my 6421 card. so ive tried to flash my drive and its not going so well i suck at soldering so i left it alone for now (a cooling off period ha..ha..ha) but thanks again for trying to help
