After 3 months of buying an Xbox Arcade and a nice size hdd off amazon (did the xbox live update) I decided it was time to flash. I read up and used jungleflasher OLD WAY without the probe. Using the onboard sata and the console to power the Liteon drive. I successfully flashed the drive but now it won't eject and there is a steady green blinking light on the console. Every once in a while i'll cycle the dvd drive power and it will open or close and then i get nothing. I thought it was a firmware issue but now i'm thinking that it is a console issue also. Jungleflasher still reads the drive but LO83info fails every time. Dosflash won't read the drive (never did). I do still have all of the files saved.
Although i have a modded xbox 1, i'm pretty new at the whole flashing scene. Do I now have an expensive paperweight?

You can always buy a spare drive and flash that one with the original key...then try with the spare...you'll have your answer on whether you dumped it correctly. Here's to hoping you did.
"All drives should be updated to Lite Touch + (LT+) firmware if playing on XBOX live. Samsung drives and pre-78/79 Hitachi drives do not utilize AP 2.5. All other drives are considered to be detectable by Microsoft (YMMV). Make sure all rips are ABGX verified, contain SSv2, and patched AP2.5 (where needed). XGD3 must currently be burned on new drive with PC Burner Max firmware for 100% rip. All modded consoles can be potentially unsafe for use on XBOX live."

After Outro, Jungleflasher only reads the drive if i power cycle. The dashboard loads up fine. However the drive won't open, that annoying green light is still blinking, and the dashboard is stuck on opening drive

So you can eject while flashing...that is, getting into half-tray position?

what you have is a stuck tray, when you eject and the light is flashing smack the top of the box a few times just over the drive it will pop right out. this is caused by many different things, the rubber band sometimes gets dried out, the tray is misaligned, or there is some debris in the casing that is causing it to get stuck, since it worked before you flashed, and not after i would look at how i put it back together, also check the magnate and make sure it is not stuck to the spindle.

i can manually move the tray to whatever position it needs. After my first flash, however, it stopped working

i think you should use a meter and check the trace cuts and make really sure you have them connected properly

ok, so i dumped everything correctly. Is this a power problem? Everything is hooked up correctly. Is there a way to flash the original firmware of the drive and bring it back to stock? Will that at least give me a working xbox and let me reflash the drive? I don't believe the drive is broke because every once in a while i will power cycle and it will respond with opening or closing the drive. Other times it doesn't respond at all. I'm at a loss
