i have a 80gb ps3 ,after playing it for 2-3 hours ,the picture goes all scramble like ,blockee... i have extra fans on it to keep it cool.please help it's driving me mad. i have changed leads (hdmi)and scokets

Probably the thermal paste between the RSX chip and the RSX chip cover.

replace with new paste ,is it easy to find this rsx chip

Yes, very easy. There are two main chips that touch the big heatsinks...one is the cell, the other is the RSX...it sounds like you want to pop the cover off the RSX, scrape the glue off the 4 corner squares (and the matching areas on the cover), and then wipe the old thermal paste off...use arctic adhesive on all 4 corner squares and arctic silver 5 on the center. Carefully place the cap back on, and find something to hold it down while it all drives (I usually use a flashlight for such jobs; the mini-mag-light is great for this, as it is heavy, thin, and the "light end" is wider than the rest of the body.)

Let the whole mess dry for a day, then apply thin layers of arctic silver 5 to the RSX cover and the Cell, and put it all back together.

Oh, you might want to do a fan OC while you are in there.

where abouts is the chip ,i opened it up found a ddrive and a black plastic box which i couldn't open ,had power lead in the side ,is there a video or pics showing how to do this

i have applyed new paste to both chips, put it all back propely ,turned it on today after 2 days drying out ,get a green light but no picture on telly,please help driving me mad
