Cox tells me that my files recorded on my Explorer 8000 are encrypted and cannot be transfered to a digital medium--can someone help me with an answer of how to get around this?

Same thing with me, im thinking about opening it up and putting the hdd on my pc and see what happens.

i have same unit but charter. if you hook it up with the USB. Windows XP say device not reconived. if anyone finds out please please let me know.
