Im using Nerovision Express and Nero 6 to burn anime episodes and i've just finished my first "working" DVD. It has 4 episodes on it and chapters within them and those chapters work ok but i cant move forward to get to the next episode. I have to watch the credits and let the episode run until the end and it will move onto the next chapter....but if i keep hitting the next chapter button it wont let me go past the episode.

Im also getting quite a few sound issues and audio going out of snyc with the video so i want to use another program other then Nerovision because i've heard it has a lot of bugs in it. I've tried TMPGEnc but i can never get sound to work using that program...i just get a audio file that has nothing on it.

Any thoughts?

Yup, don't use Nero to re-encode to MPG.

Use TMPGEnc. Don't know why you don't get sound. Do you have all the proper sound codecs installed?

Also, I'm assuming you've authored each file separately but didn't join them. (Which is why you can't just "next chapter" it.)

Try using DVD-Lab to author. It gives you excellent control over the whole authoring process and will be able to allow you to skip the way you want.

Hey edge, hate to disagree with whassup (he's a member and i'm a newbie) but I think nve 2 is a great program and I never have problems in it unless it was something I did wrong and there's a lot of others in this forum who think it's a good program too. That goes for recode 2 also. I wonder what you're doing exactly when you're in nve 2? How are you ripping your episodes before you go to Nero? Sometimes I've had audio problems from shrink, but not Nero. DVDLab is a good program (but high $ when you've got nve there to work for you already). just a thought.........

Heres exactly what i did

Ran NVE and draged 4 .AVI files into the window added a few chapters and burned them with Nero 6

in one episode the video and audio go out of sync near the middle of the episode

Sometimes i have audio problems where it will cut out and come back real fast for a few seconds then work fine

Subtitles are cut off

Did you join all the chapters in the menu stage and did you preview it before you burned and did it work? You can go ahead and burn while in nve 2. Also, you can pick a layout where you can highlight and activate each chapter on your main menu page (instead of using the arrows). Have you registered nve 2 to get all of it's capabilities? It, along with express and recode have to be registered with your nero no. you got when you bought it. Could the avi files be corrupt? What was their source? Also, what media are u using? I had audio problems with memorex until I switched to ritek. I'm just trying to think of why it's not working....

I dont think i joined them all together :/ and when i burned it with Nero 6 my menu didnt even show up it just played the first Episode...so i can try burning it with NVE....yeah i've registered Nero 6 and NVE..as for what media im using i dont really get that...cause all im doing is using NVE to convert the AVI files and burn it :/

Hey guy, You have to be burning on something. You have to convert avi to mpeg2, then go and stay in nve 2, put your menu together, try like I suggested. When you're done, hit next and you will be able to preview your movie using a simulated remote control. If everything works then go to burn and hit it, stand back and wait, DON"T do anything til it's done. Good luck.....

What about making it so the subtiles arnt cut off? i think thats the only problem i have left...when i use TMPGEnc i set the Video Arrange Method at Center (Keep aspect Ratio) that sorta puts a black box around the video to keep the subtiles visable...is there a better way?
