hi

what is the difference between MPEG-4 video and Xvid video or are they one and the same ?
i was fooling around with Handbrake (i normally use that to do X264 files) i noticed that one of the codec options was MPEG-4(ffmpeg) i tried encoding a dvd file and the end result was rather good & fast as well so what exactlly is the difference between Xvid & MPEG-4 video ?
