Huge electronics maker Toshiba has said today that is currently developing 3D HDTVs that do not require any special glasses. The Yomiuri newspaper said that Toshiba plans to release the TVs by the end of the year, but spokesperson Yuko Sugahara declined to comment on the timetable. Brilliant! I've always disliked wearing those glasses. I might be interested in this depending on the price factor. However I do know that early adoption of any tech is expensive.

I'm looking forward to seeing this.

I'm against 3D altogether.

But glasses-free seems a good idea. Too bad hardly anything is supporting 3D and that they cost so much it's just laughable at.

Heard this on the radio a few days back. Looking forward to how it would actually look. Somehow I feel that the traditional wearing of 3d glasses in theatres will provide a much better 3D experience. This TV will no doubt be so expensive. I'd really like to see it when they demo it.

I hear the Ninty 3-D works really well. In about 6 or so years it will probably be even better and cheaper.
