What loader? have you read the tut? you load the bin file to the USB stick then follow the Tut as described, step by step, screen by screen, follow it to the letter

Sorry, i was confused about the other thread that i have read. It is because it says there i need GTrom loader in order to load the bin files. But i understand now that i should use USB. Is it alright to connect the modem directly to the box? Because i dont have a router. thanks

you could try it, but you may need a router, but make sure the flashing of the box is done and the scanning of the chans are done, before you connect the box to the modem / router,

The box is still not working maybe because i havent flashed the 2 files.
I have successfully flashed the carling file, but not the bin and api files. Can you plaese tell me where to get the most recent file for these 2 and how do i flash them into the box.
Thanks a lot

Did you select the correct provider on set up as per the tut? have you got a live feed coming into the house? Is your cable in the correct connection at the back?

Try 6952 as your provider on the scan, depends on where you are, some areas are old Ntl areas, 6887 and some CW 6952, so try both, I dont have one of those boxs, but is there not a ANT In at the back?

I have tried those codes already. I plugged the cable at the cable socket at the back of the box. there is a separate plug for ANT.

If you have any SV, regardless of the model, the chans will be picked up on a scan, but wont come in until connected to the internet as is the case of the SV6, so, if you plug the cable into the correct connection, scan on 6952 or 6887 what ever is your area, the box will pick them up and then follow the tut line by line, picture by picture until you have it connected.
