Because morally and ethically they should not have to change it as it relates not to Facebook what-so-ever.

i mean I can see the problem if the site is named TeachFacebook, or FacebookTeach, if this is so serious to have a word "book" in it then they should sue everyone with "e book" or "i book" or "book" itself. hell, i shuold be getting sued because i'm using the word "book" on everything i'm talking about. facecrap is being asshole like baxter00 said.

Plus the word "Teach" fits way more with "BOOK"(get it? BOOK, as in SCHOOL) than with "Face".

Billion dollar company suing a low website name teachbook, which essentially sounds a lot more helpful and useful and practical then stupid facebook. I hope somehow then end up losing money on this.

This is the greatest thing that could have happened to Teachbook. Hell, they may have even worked with Facebook to make this happen. Free publicity is hard to find. This could help put them on the map.

Isn't there a movie coming out soon about when facebook first got started and they were being sued for being too much like someone else's idea?
Nice to see that they've become the assholes that they once had to defend their selves from.

Does Facebook know that books are used a lot more for teaching than for faces?
To me it reminds me of Apple sueing or threatening to sue anyone that put a lower case i infront of iAnything.

Good question. If Facebook was smart they would work with Teacherbook.com and develop it as a sister site with tighter controls. Education could use a good social networking site that can be a place to share and collaborate without all the useless random crap that happens on Facebook. I work in Education IT and social networking is a hot topic and teachers have tried to petition that facebook be open and allow teachers to share facebook pages of themselves and for clubs but it is always turned down because much of what happens on facebook can be innappropriate in a school environment.

This reminds me of my other favorite company, Monster Cable. They've previously sued Monster.com and Disney, because of Monster's Inc., according to this 18-month old WSJ article. Looks like Lamebook is trying to copy their business "model".

Face-book you are a bunch of morons.....man who ever pissed in their cornflakes and came up with that idea should be shot on a Friday so they don't get to see the weekend..... Idiots ......

I would love to see HP sue apple for the "i" naming scheme...the first "i" device made was the HP iPaq...sounds a lot like iPad if you ask me.

It was used by others I have an "I-Station" which is like a psp but its a "pmp(personal media player)the term book lets go back to this maybe we need to encourage those religious zellets to go after facebook because the holy bible (or good book was even earlier the use of coining a name or style is only as good as the product and lets face it next people will think sex or porn is a viable trademark because every one knows what those words mean.. we live in a sad state sooner or later we will run out of words to copyright and we will need random numbers and letters to sell an item will the next big thing be the "abc123-5000" lets get real people and facebook should hear us...stop starting things that piss people off why not play nice and suport others like schools maybe schools should turn up thier sonic walls and block facebook...
