I am trying to go from my mini-dv camcorder to DVD. I read the how-to guide at the top of the form page...loved it. Very detailed and helpful. Unfortunately, I ended up with a DVD that had no sound.

AVIcodec identifies the AVI file as a Sony digital (I think that that is what it called it) with interlaced audio and video (no specific audio source was noted however). TMPGEnc recommeded using interaced audio/video rather that non-interlaced as per the how-to guide. The same source file was inserted for both the audio and video. I used interlaced. In step 5, I chose to output audio and video in 2 seperate steams as instructed. All went well and the burn went fine. The final result had great video but no sound. The final report from inforedit appeared to show that I had sound on the burn. What happened? Should I use interlaced for the source or not? If I do, should the audio/video be output in one (not 2) streams?
