i have a liteon drive 7 series manufactured in july 2008 and i can't buy the ck3 probe online or anything because it require a credit card number as the only way so anyway is their any alt. way to flash it
and i can't make a probe because i can't find the right stuff for it

You have to have soldering skills to dump the firmware which requires a probe 2 or vampire. Have daddy get it for you. I assume since you can't use a credit card, you are under the age of 18, therefore probably can't solder either. Send it to a pro, or learn how to solder and build your own probe 2.

I believe this is the cheapest method http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=698256 I tried to build my own probe before and couldn't get it to work (i think the tip was too wide for the hole) so I ended up doing this instead. No lenline pen is necessary either, I just scrape with a razor. Not too hard if you take your time, have decent soldering skills and especially a multimeter to check your cuts. Less than $5 for 2 resistors and a switch at radio shack. I'd also recommend some soldering paste (flux) to help solder to the pcb
