hi guys well i now have cccam installed as im trying to set up 2 boxes in my house (still setting up the main box) but i dont seem to be able to watch the sly channs i have my sly card in and have entered the box key in line 317 and removed the # the info comes up on the chann bar at the bottom but no picture please help im starting to loose the will to live ;@

have you set cccam as your default cam. can you get basic channels such as rte1. is the prob the film and sports channels. if so your boxkey is wrong

yeah set cccam as default and i only get fta chans dont get gold and stuff like that or movies i dont have sports pack as yet anyways must be going wrong some how

if you are putting card into dreambox, by default you get non-premier chans. so issue is with cccam. what version are you using

so thats fine. so then its your cccam.cfg. an example

SERVER LISTEN PORT : 12000
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY : /dev/sci0 3430000
BOXKEY : /dev/sci0 xx xx xx xx
F: user1 pass1 2 0 1 { 0:0:1 }

and no more required. indeed you don't need the fline to get your card working. that is for clients

note that sci0 denotes the first card reader internal in your system, if you are using a secondary internal card reader you would use sci1 and if you are using an external card reader like a smargo or omni then it is totally different again

once cccam 2.1.3 is installed and set as default cam your card should work (all be it just the basic channels gold/bravo/living etc) you should not need the boxkey unless you have sky sports/movies channels .are you sure cccam 2.1.3 is set as your default cam go back and check.
