FTC ends LimeWire ID theft investigation

The FTC has dropped their investigation into whether LimeWire put user's identities at risk of theft saying that the latest versions of the software have much-improved safeguards. LoL...they only have less tech savvy users; no one else would use LimeWire.

havnt used limewire in years.apparently its full of viruses and spyware.do recall using limewire years agos the basic version and downloading the pro version (for free)by using the limewire network.any program or software that can put spyware on your computer can put users identity at risk.

I tried the Lite version, it sucked. I agree with KillerBug, techsavy users stay clear of P2P for the most part.

That isn't even the case; there are a lot of tech savvy people using torrents through VPNs...there are even decent LimeWire-style apps...but LimeWire is like the McAfee of file sharing. (bear share is norton)

I use Frostwire... it's the same as Limewire PRO but no need to pay to get PRO
