Hi there,
Have searched, but could not find my answer. So I kindly wanted to know, the following:
1. Is the PS3 Jail Break USB, a mix of software and hardware? Or just pure software?
If pure software, than any USB would do right?
2. Is the PS3 Jail Break USB software available?
Any thoughts! Thanks.
Mr. Nice Bear.

Did you really google it, kuma?
Cos there are a tonne of forums with all this stated several time, kuma.
But I will answer your questions, kuma.
It is hardware only, kuma.
It is not just a normal usb memory card, kuma.
Someone probably does have the code somewhere, but you'll have to find it yourself, kuma.
And even if you do find it, you cannot just copy it to a memory stick and expect it to work, kuma.
You need a something with a controller ship in order to run the code, kuma.
So keep your eyes on the forums, kuma.
Cos there is a lot of stuff going on kuma.
And next time dont be too lazy to read other threads and forums, kuma.

Kuma - go over to haxnetwork.net; they have essentially dedicated the whole website to this matter.

I have no idea, but just used it out of respect for the poster - because he used it so many times.

has anyone here used the psgroove. the reason I ask is that I just ordered the blackcat USB to use it. The question I have is does it backup your games direct to the internal hard drive or can you put it on an external hard drive and go through the USB. thx

IT can backup the games to both internal and external hdds. It does works, but currently only on listed usb development boards, a nokia n9000 and palm pre.
Note currently it does not support ntfs formatted hdds, so your external hdd has to be formatted in efat I believe. the new backup manager, vs 1.1, psj will be releasing does support NTFS.
Internal hdd load times are faster than external load times though.

The reason I got the Blackcat USB is that is has the chipset needed and I found a link that gives details instructions on how to install.
http://dukio.com/tutorials/install-psgro...dows-7-x64.html
I couldnt find any of the other usb devices in stock online (go figure). But then I came across this and I did find them online. The one I got is Ver. 1.7 but the instructions say ver1.2 or higher.
