Hi all,

I'm sure there is a simple solution to this. I am obviously not seeing all the parts
needed to accomplish the task.

I am following the this cututorial: Xbox 360: How To Burn 360 Games - Tutorial For Noobies & Boobies

Located on this website.

I have a game "Sniper Ghost Warrior"
The ISO file was checked using AGBX 1.0.2 and all has checked out
I have burned a DVD+R DL using the ImgBurn settings located in the tutorial

I have a Phillips drive in the XBOX and have downloaded the IXtreme FW.

I burned a CD with the BIN file on it. The cd was not recognized and nothing was updated.

What do I have to do to flash the drive?

Am I following the right procedures?

What other information do I need to supply to help with your answer?

Any and all input welcome. Thanks in advance,

-J

Heh, iXtreme isnt loaded onto your xbox with a CD. Your system has to be opened and the drive connected to your computer via sata. Go to the jungleflasher website, get JF and the tutorial. It'll walk you through step by step on how to do it.

Ok, I have JF.

I've removed the drive from the XBOX and I am using a
"Cables To Go" USB 2.0 to SATA Drive adapter.

Windows recognizes there is a drive present in "Disk Management"
It does not assign it a drive letter and it is saying that the drive is unallocated.

I am unable to chose the drive as a target in JF.

Suggestions? Anyone?

So ModKing30....are you saying the box is not modable or that
the modding is going to be a major pain in the a$$?

I'm saying "SEARCH". Did you even read the Ultimate sticky? Or should we hold your hand all the way through the process?

I think he's trying to say it'd be easier if you got a via 6421 sata card because unknown cards/sata setups can be incompatible but the 6421 works for everyone

edit: or search :)

Here is a step by step guide. Even discusses all the tools you need and shows you how to take the xbox apart.

Ok, let me ask this.

I don't care whats on the drive. Can I have windows allocate the space
and then run JF and flash the drive or will the xbox not recognize it at all?

No, I don't know what I am doing, that's why i'm here.

I'm working off a laptop, the SATA card isnt an option at this time.

Then you cannot do it. You need these tools and you have to open the xbox period. Did you read the guide I posted? Come on dude, that is step by step. You don't care what's on the drive? What are you talking about? You flash the DVD drive not the hard drive. Windows has nothing to do with it. You take your DVD drive out of your xbox and connect to your pc and flash it.

.... ok now i really do feel retarded.

everytime drive was mentioned I was fixated on hard drive.

lol oh man thats just funny.

Well, it would appear that I cannot do the intended mod with the tools I have.
I will try and look elsewhere for a desktop and work from there.

Thanks for the info.....and the enlightenment lol
