settings in xbOX dashboard say firmware is d:2.0.9199.0

my older oblivion and fallout backups work fine but,
my new mafia 2, and red dead redemption backups wont play.
My xbox is reading the disks as if they were movies, then freezes on an XBOX 360 screen.

ANy help would be great.
I have never had the xbox hooked up to live, becasue I am not an online gamer...do you think I need a firware/software upgrade.

The Mafia 2 and Red Dead Redemption backups are probably fine.
You 360 needs to be re-flashed to play those particular games which are Wave 6 titles.
Re-flash to iXtreme LT and they will play.

9199 is not the benq firmware. That is the dash version. You should be running BenQ LT 1.2

1: Flash your BenQ back to stock (if you can).
2: Then Flash your BenQ to iXtreme LT 1.2
