I have attempted to jtag hack my zeypher 3 times in the past year. I have finally found points to solder to and all I have to do now is flash my nand chip, however....
I need some terms explained to me. First of all. I also have to change my smc to use different points to send the code to the gpu (i think that's what it does...) so what is the smc? And what do I extract the smc from? The xbr file? My original nand?

I know you flash XBR to the nand. I know it boots into another kernel without changing the xbox's kernel. But How do you install dashboards like freestyle Dash?
What is this XeX stuff? Is it an application or dashboard or something else?
I'm sorry for the noob questions however this is my third attempt and I believe it will succeed this time, so I am trying to get through the software part.
And yes I have used the search button I just don't get very clear answers or maybe I'm just slow =D
Actually one more question, if this works and I get freeboot on my console, will I be able to rip my games onto the hard drive of the xbox or do I need to flash my dvd drive for that to work?
