I'm the newbie, so mock me if you must :-P

I have a Philips DVD+R/W-D28 drive for my PC (on which I run XP, incidentally).

I have been backing up DVDs for a little over a year now using DVD+R 4X Imation discs. (The primary programs I use are DVD Decrypter and/or DVD Shrink). I haven't run into (m)any snags yet with Imation discs playing on my computer or on my Sony DVP-NS725P standalone.

I have read a lot about Ritek discs on the forum, but just wanted to make sure that I would be doing right if I went ahead and purchased some Ritek DVD+R silver matte discs. I was hoping to save a bit of money as Imation discs run about $1.65US a piece.

Thank you for your time.
