i bought my 360 two years ago, around nov 2008, and modded it right after.
i checked the wires, its yellow so i think its a Liteon drive.
its arcade so theres no worry it getting banned.
old backup games like star ocean last hope, tales of vesperia play fine.
whereas newer backup games like ff13 dont play. it only shows a xbox 360 logo.
i think the firmware in the 360 is old and need updating.
so here are a few questions:
1. how do i check which version of firmware is installed in the 360?
2. how do i update the firmware for the 360?
3a. does it require wiring and soldering? because im not sure if i have the cables, and im not good at soldering, so if these are required, ill just bring it to a shop and have experts update it.
3b. if i bring it to a shop, how much would it normally cost?
Actually if you can't play newer wave games and you have a liteon drive then it is an older firmware and there is a higher chance of being banned vs iXtreme LT. Since it's already modded to check which firmware you have (and I may be wrong, someone correct me if I am), all you have to do is connect the drive via SATA, go to the MTK Flash 32 tab in jungleflasher, push the device intro button, follow the instructions for vendor mode then read the firmware. Shouldn't require any additional soldering
