Converting US MHFU Save to EU

Hello, I have Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on my PSP GEN-D3. It's in NTSC format so my save is too, but the problem is I have a friend that wants to play together but he has the EU version of the game. So when we try to connect we don't show up on each others PSPs.
So is there anyway for me to convert my US save to EU? It's either that or I download the EU version and start a new game, which I'd rather not have to do.

What files are in the 'PSP/SAVEDATA/(WHATEVER MHFU's code is' folder?

Naturally there would be like

PARAM.SFO
PIC0.PNG
ICON0.PNG
ICON1.PMF
etc.

But the PARAM.SFO file dissallows any other region to load your save game, but the problem is that you can't modify the PARAM without corrupting it.

To put it simply, unless there is another file there with the exact same code across all regions... then no.
