Qualcomm has confirmed that two dual-core Snapdragon CPUs will be hitting devices next year, boasting clock speeds as high as 1.5GHz. The 1.2GHz dual-core 8260 will go into volume production during the first half of next year, and the more powerful 1.5GHz dual core 8672 processor will being hitting devices in the Q3. This will push mobile device far beyond anything we've ever seen before. Simply amazing!!!

I just hope RIM stops using those rubbish Marvell chips in their devices.

Dammit. I was hoping these were coming out this year as soon as WP 7 is released. My 5-year old phone is dying, I don't think I can wait that long, I've waited long enough for WP 7. I wonder how good the new Samsung and Nvidia chips are. Guess this means that the HTC HD7 (HD3) won't be released next week in the UK/Aus, cause I'll have no doubt if HTC is going to be the main user of Qualcomm CPU's.

Will this apply to netbooks too?

Its a lot easier being righteous than right.
