Adding Artwork to Video Files for PS3?

I am looking to add artwork/thumbnails for .mp4 files that I am storing on an External Hard Drive and plugging into a PS3 via USB to watch the files.

Is there a way to add thumbnails/artwork to these files so they show on the ps3/hard drive? What im aiming for is something similar to itunes, except it shows the movies dvd cover as the thumbnail, right now its just showing the grey and white screen.
