I haven't logged into Xbox Live for months (~9) and my console might be banned. My understanding was that with the ban I could no longer copy my games to my hard drive but then I think that I also read somewhere that it allows you to copy your games now with an Xbox update.

Q1) If I am banned can I still copy games to hard drive?
Q2) If I am banned can I still save new game files to hard drive (i.e progress)?
Q3) Any thing else besides not being able to play on Live?

Thanks and like I mentioned I have searched a few postings but I am sure there is an expert out there that can answer this quickly on concisely.

Thanks,

Dave

What dashboard is your 360 currently on?

Edit- The easiest way to tell if your 360 has been banned would be to register the console at xbox.com.

If you are able to select the console for warranty repair, you are not banned. If you can't, then your serial has been banned.

It looks like I am banned. When I registered my Console is states

"Unavailable for service

Sorry! This console is currently unavailable to submit for repair. If you have questions about this, please contact Xbox Support."

Thanks for the reply, now I know I shouldn't connect.

Leerage - Thanks for all of the tutorials and your dedication to the web site!!

Unfortunately it looks like your 360 is flagged for a ban. If you ever need system updates, you can always download them from M$ and install via USB drive.
