having a little problem getting the movie channs on my dm500s i have a sly card in and have put the boxkey in still no luck can any1 help me thanks

do you have the card working in the box (for all basic pay channels such as bravo/living/gold) if you have then you need the sky box boxkey .
if you have movies and sports channels those channels wont open without the sly box boxkey . to get the boxkey you need to download nds boxkey generator . you then enter the sly box serial number in to it and it returns your boxkey (which you will then put into cccam.cfg )you can find the serial number in 2 places ,the first is at the rear of the sly box where you will find a sticker with a 17 digit serial number ,or in the sly box menu in system info you will find an 8 digit serial number ,you can enter either of these serial numbers in to the boxkey generator and you will get the same boxkey . now make a note of the boxkey so we can enter it in to cccam .

you already put the boxkey into cccam if i remember correctly so you know how to put it in but it must be incorrect ,try again with the above converter and make sure that there is no # symbol at the start of the line .

if the box is opening the basic pay channels then the card reader is working and so is cccam so that only leaves the boxkey ,do you have the correct boxkey and are you entering the boxkey correctly into cccam .go in to the skybox menu and get the 8 digit serial number and enter it into boxkey converter and see if it displays the same boxkey as before ,make sure there is no # symbol at the start of the boxkey line in cccam.cfg and make sure you click on exit and save .also try rebooting your box as this should be done whenever cccam is edited .

thats easy enough for internal sharing (sharing in your own home) first thing to do is to set the box with the card in it (the server ) a static ip .you do that by pressing menu on your remote ,press number 6, open expert setup , and then open communication setup,you should see ip: and then the ip address of your box and then dhcp (you need to disable dhcp and that will make the box keep the current ip static)use the up/down and left/right buttons to go to dhcp and disable it .make a note of the ip address as you need that for your c line ,then press green to save and exit back to the tv channels.
your c line will contain (the server ip address) (the port number 12000) ( user name) (password) ,imagine the server ip is 192.168.1.100 and that box 2 is in the bedroom your c line will look like this C:192.168.1.100 12000 share1 bedroom ,and the f line only has to be simple so all it needs is F:share1 bedroom .
(PUTTING AN F LINE IN TO THE SERVER)
open dream control center and go to cccam.cfg as you did to enter the boxkey and go to line number 24 and delete the # symbol and type in your f line (this will be F: and the same user name and password as you used in the c line ) and the click on file and exit and save and reboot the box.
(PUTTING THE C LINE INTO THE CLIENT OR BOX 2)
open dream control center ,now as box 2 has a different ip to that of the server you need to tell dcc the ip of box2 (by typing the ip under the picture of the dreambox and then clicking on reconnect under the picture of the computer )you can get the ip from communication setup as i explained above . now go to cccam.cfg and go to line number 80 and delete the # symbol and enter your c line C: server ip 12000 username password (username and password must be the same in both the c line and f line )then click on file and then save and exit ,reboot your box and all being well you should have the channels in the other room .

dan, why would you want to. you can always set an internal network static address by putting he ip address in and setting the dhcp marker to off. this will mean that your box will always have the same address on your router
