Hey.

So I have a few questions, tomorrow my brother in laws giving me his 360. I have no idea what kind it is.

But is there any way to softmod it to play older games such as N64/SNES/NES?
AND still be able to play live?

Really a simple question, but its because I don't know where to start or what to ask really.

Just a few hours ago, I figured I wouldnt even think about softmodding it because I have my Wii to play all that stuff.
But..sadly, I bricked it. lol..with no protection or way to fix it.

But yeah, whats my options with the 360? While hopefully not being banned?

Ifs JTAGable, then you can mod it to and you will be able to use emulator, but you will get banned pretty quickly from live.

Is there any alternative to use emulators without being banned?
Or do I HAVE to choose between the two?

You HAVE to choose between the two. JTAGs do it all, but are not for Xbox Live.
