Hey guys,
I'm having an issue flashing a lite-on drive for a friend...I did my Hitachi with no problem...anyway, when I attempted to flash with JF, it seemed to go well, but now the drive doesn't recognize 360 games...what/how can I reverse this process and is this what they mean by "bricked"...I was thinkin of replacing the pcb in the drive and trying to start over, but I don't recall getting the key or anything...if anyone can help it would be appreciated.

to flash the lite on u need to use a probe of some kind wether homemade or bought, u do need one. if u didnt recieve the key then u cannot reverse the action back to original status, :(

I don't know if it's the right key, it was a bunch of 5's and A's...so basically if I don't have the key it's a paperweight? Also, can I replace the PCB in the drive and start over or is that out the window?

55AA55AA55AA etc isn't your original key. Do you have the JF logged saved? Also, as long as you dumped the firmware or have the original firmware saved, you can fix the drive.

I have the following files saved:

ofw.bin
cfw.bin
key.bin
and in the JF folder there is a 74850C.bin (which says it's the original file which I downloaded.)

of course I can't view the bin files to tell what they are, but this is what I have.

In JungleFlasher, load OFW.bin into Source. That will show you the DVDkey. Once you have verified it is legitimate (not 55AA55AA etc), you will load iX LT 1.1 for LiteOn into Target and click Spoof Source to Target. Send the LiteOn Erase and power cycle when prompted. Write the firmware.

when i dump the firmware i get
enquiry.bin,identify.bin, serial.bin, key.bin and dummy.bin, this is what u should of got when u dumped it!, basiccaly if you dont have the original firmware file you cannot get any new drive or pcb to work as u need this to make the hacked firmware! you say u have the key.bin file and ofw.bin file one of these should contain the key maybe?
