In the pass couple of days I have tried to flash two different Lite-On drivers. One being the newest 93450c and a older 74850c. I did the MRA Hack, I did the 93450c first and it worked fine, put it all back together and something went wrong and when i put the traces back together it came loose. I fixed that but accidently touched the chip to the xbox and it grounded and idk what the hell is wrong with it. The 74850c I got everything ready and got on jungle flasher but couldnt get it into mode. I keep getting a status error 0x52 or whatever. I just gave up on it and put everything back together and fixed the traces but the drive will not eject and the center light just flashs. The xbox comes on and all that good stuff but idk, im pretty sure I fixed the traces good, tried and tried again, maybe something messed up when i sodered it. But any help on either would be greatly appriciated, neither is mine and I would like to have them fixed soon....

it is the traces that cause the flashing light, try using wires to jump them instead of repairing, or get a circuit writer pen. watch the board doesnt touch the tray wen u put it back together.

As its a 7 series, you might wanna see if you can extract the key with the r707 probe method. The MRA hack is a right ballache, I have one (9 series) that just will not go in to status 0x72, keep getting 0x51 & 0x52. Ive checked my solding and cuts with a multimeter and there all fine.

well idk, it just wouldnt go but now I go the lights as well. idk about the 9 series though, idk what to do about that?

yeah i was only guessing, I am going to buy a circut writer pen before I go home, i will double check and post pics but the 9 series had sparked when it touched the xbox and I guess grounded it so idk what that did to it or what.

You need to buy a multi-meter. This is nearly impossible to do without it.

Well I got a multimeter. I got the 7 series to come on and work fine but will not read games, its not flashed either, I just put it back together and it was the traces on it. ah idk y it will not read games, I tried to POT but nothin, the multimeter I got is a fluke 115 and doesnt have a 20k ohm on the knob but has the ohm on there and I changed to ohmK but it wouldnt work. I heard they go out sometimes when u try to flash, the laser anyways but idk, I have messed with the 9 series yet, gettin on that right now.

The 9 series will boot to the dash and everything is fine but the drive will not eject or read a disc? ah the laser lights up but doesnt move and the disc doesnt spin

Well if you didn't flash it, does the drive eject? If it ejects, the firmware is good and so are the traces. Then you just need to fix your laser.

it will eject, it spins up not to read after putting another laser in it but still will not read a game, will just spin and spin and thats it...

Thanks for the help. I got it working now. I redid all the traces just in case and then I messed with the POT with out a multimeter. lol Thats how I messed the old laser up, it just started making some messed up noise when it would try to read a game so I took the laser out of the 9 series that I had and put into the 7 series. so all is good. Just gotta get a new drive for the 9 series and spoof so I will probably get a benq. My buddy has a xbox with the RROD and has a benq in it that I flashed for him a while back so I can just use the drive out of it.
