Confused after reformatting

I just recently reformatted my hard drive, and can no longer burn DVD+R's that will work in my standalone.
I have an Hp DVD420i, and I have updated firmware, and ASPI drivers. I am using exact same software (elby's clone2, and anydvd), and exact same media, that i used before reformatting....burn process completes problem free...ideas anyone??

What O/S? And which aspi layer update? 4.71 or forceaspi(4.60)?

Ok i just did some research, and found out that all 4 numbers in aspicheck have to be the same, or else aspi is not installed correctly...i'm going to download 4.6, as i am willing to bet that is the problem

I just used aspiforce (everything says 4.6)....still dvd's wont work in standalone.....I guess I'm going to try DVD Decrypter next, but i'm not too confident, as i doubt software is the problem...any ideas are greatly appreciated...thanx.

Great choice on ForceASPI. Now try DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter. Also make sure your ide is set to dma.
