Jailbreaking PS3 with the PS3 controller, I hope it's fake

So on PSGroove website, there's this news about jailbreaking PS3 with the dualshock 3 controller, I hope this is fake, cause I just ordered a chip online to jailbreak my ps3, if this is real then I just wasted my $30 on the chip and be very pissed about it.
Anyone think it's real or not?

Sounds Fake, you cant Jailbreak with a controller.
It needs a special chip.
wait for yours and dont worry.
I have a ps3break works fine.

well the SIXAXIS controller does have a programmable EEPROM built into it so....

Looks like the video is already taken down. There is no reason why this should not work, but it seems like it might make the controller useless as a controller...and even a sixaxis costs more than a jailbreak key.

It is fake, in a way. It's not a psgroove port to the sixaxis, the guy added a chip and components into the controller to create a jailbreakable controller. i.e. he just a dongle inside the controller.
So no real as its not using the controller, the dongle is just housed in the controller.

well the author of the video said a tutorial will be released today. all we can do is wait and see if it's legit. I hope it is, you get to use a legit sony product to hack their own system. kinda like kicking them when they're down. plus since they disabled 3rd party items with 3.50 using their own controller might be a way to enable the hack with 3.50
