Hi

I want to format a 250 gb ( maybe even one of my bigger ones )

to fat 32 , so I can plug them into my ps3 and play my

HD movies ,and other such tasks

As you all know , and I learned the hard way ps3 only undertands

fat32 , so your limited to the fle size you can move on fat32

which again stalls me in my task of huge files

But I heard someone mention a program that will format fat32 without

these file size lmits ,so I am in search of it

Can anyone please advise m further on this matter , and

fom reading hat I want to do , once I have this large HD

in fat32 ,ill my ps3 recognize it ( its usb yes ) and

allow me to play my media from it , the media that ps3 upports

like M2TS , etc ?

Thank you

There are a few programs that do this, eg SwissKnife or fat32 format.

You can get fat32format here http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/index.htm?fat32format.htm

Thanks

Its kinda working

i kept trying the fat32 program , and kept getting

told it could nr proceed as the drive was in use

and it wasnt , so i tried swiss knife , it said it was

completed , but it wasnt , the drive wasnt formatted and all

data was still there on this 250 gb usb drive , so i kept

trying , then i re tried the fat32 program and it formatted

in fat32

So now my ps3 does indeed see the drive and plays its contents

Only problem is when i go to move Ie a 8 GB file im told

theres not enough free space and i need to free some space

But there is still over 221 gb of free space

Yipes , how can i get around this problem ?

Cheers
