Need help with blinking red lights on PS3

Hello,

My ps3 started messing up on me. At first I thought it was just a dvd skipping and didn't thinking nothing of it. But a few days ago the ps3 will power on and skip while its loading then freeze up and shut off. I've read a few people saying it's from over heating or faulty power cord so I took it apart,cleaned the dust out and reapplied thermal paste to heatsinks and gpu. Any other ideas I could try? Thanks in advance.

Try to "heatfix" it... when it first got too hot, then the damage proberly happend, and if you are real unlucky a componemt is burned so you cant save it. In my case i got it back running with the heat trick :)
