Has anybody bought a 120 gb ps3 slim lately? if so what firmware was on it?

The firmware on Au ps3
120 gb is 3.15
160 gb is 3.42 i think maybe higher
360 gb is 3.40 for a short time.....

Just bought yesterday from spain and updated it to 3.50, it was 2.xx though

I was told that with the Slims, the updates were stored on the hard drive. If so then wouldn't a reformat/new hdd allow a downgrade?

I know when I added a 500gb to my Slim, before the drive would format it asked for firmware from a usb stick.
