Can you use an Iphone 3gs to jailbreak the ps3? Or has that not come out yet? I couldn't find anything on here or google.

Its just available for the iPhone 3G on iOS 4.0 at the moment

Ya I saw a lot of information about the 3G and Ipod touch 1st Gen. I couldn't find anything about anyone trying it on a 3GS. Thanks for the info guys.

Dude, I got it running on 3G 3.1.2 FW so it's not only 4.0

Yep, I've had it on 3.1.3 and 4.0 so it works either way. The first time I tried it, it would not work. On 3.1.3, I used redsn0w to jailbreak and then iPhodroid, and on 4.0 I used sn0wbreeze and then iPhodroid. The backup manager with hermes psfreedom is very buggy, so I would sit back and wait on a better solution.

It will not work on a 3GS at the moment, as their is currently no (released) BootROM exploit for the device. This will hopefully change pretty soon, when the SHAtter exploit is developed into a working Jailbreak.

In order to run PSGroove on the iPhone/iPod touch, you need to install Open iBoot, which you need a BootROM exploit to do.
