I've just bought a new MS28 to replace my old one thats fooked, i'm just looking for a tutorial or any advice . should it work straigh away or do you need to flash it to the firmware of the drive i'm pulling out?

nah you need to take the key from the old one and flash it to the new one. use jungleflasher tutorial or dosflash

Or, if you don't have the stuff to do a flash, you could swap the boards of the drives (if they are identical drives).

wudnt he still need to flash it tho? as the new board aint gonna match the motherboard key?????
The PCB on the drive has the key so you take the old one out of the non-working drive and just pop it into the new drive and you're good to go. Very easy, especially since samsungs dont require soldering (I think...)

Yeah, what HE said........ that I said....... when I said it.......... I mean typed it...... yeah.
i think the PCB went as well i have a backup of the firmware and i think i managed to find out as much as i can i need a tutorial for flashing the firmware from old drive to a new one.
