LG Electronics has said today that it has dropped all plans to release an Android 2.2-based tablet this year, instead delaying their tablet release until the Q1 2011. "We plan to introduce a tablet that runs on the most reliable Android version ... I think this is a very good move by LG because the OS is just not suitable for tablets. Google even said so themselves that it wasn't designed for that purpose, so I think it a good move to wait for gingerbread instead.

Google only said that because their engineers are tired of working with Android and now they want it to die. So, they are telling manufacturers to use the worst Android ever (2.1), or to not build the devices at all.

The Chinese are already making great Android 2.2 tablets...gingerbread might be better, but 2.1 is total garbage...to advise people to use that is to advise them to get an iPad.
