I'll save everybody the time to not click on the link. This is all it says:

? Actually the source is vgcrepairs.com who has many more connections than we do. I believe it, not sure first time we'll see a big ban. I just hope it's not instant. They've already proved with the leaked version that the dash has new checks added for modded consoles. Do you want me to post the links to several articles too?

Edit -- I don't doubt the reputation of vgcrepairs. I'd just like to read it for myself and it probably wouldn't have hurt to have the link in your post.

IF true surely people should not update and get banned but wait for the new fw and then update. I have often said this but people are always saying just update you've probably been flagged months ago.

that's always been the wisest move. C4E will be able to confirm or deny whether or not there are MD5 checks and if anything can be done to spoof it

I got the information from Ed by email. I have found several other links by using some thing called "google". Search, you'll find the same sources, if not I'll post them tomorrow. It's not like I want it to be true, but we all know this is a never ending battle. I honestly don't care. I don't play on live anyway. I mean, what is there two good games to play online? wow, not worth it. The best games are all offline if you ask me. COD is overrated and halo is the same old crap. So what's good? Black ops looks gay as MW2 was.

Yeah when I got banned I realised what a waste online was for me. I actually like being banned and saving some money and not having to worry about new fw or stealthing games or not being able to play games early. Being banned is great.

That user unfortunately has a history of posting bad information or copies without understanding the information. A simple md5 check can also be passed as well. It's a simple hack within the algorithm, it's called a "collision". It's the way that MD5 hashes works. Therefore, the above post is unfortunately not credible.
Please research things before posting them as fact. It'll help the community, and that's what we're here for... right?

Ladies and gentleman, please, don't jump the gun on this...you should be ready to be banned year round, not just before Christmas time...let's avoid speculation posts altogether as all they do is confuse people and cause new panic threads to emerge.

XGD3 must currently be burned on new drive with PC Burner Max firmware for 100% rip. All modded consoles can be potentially unsafe for use on XBOX live."

Step 2) buy RRoD 360 for $20 and repair

I agree with you and that's pretty much what I said earlier in the thread. But no one is bashing c4e. Dunno why everyone's all up in arms about this...maybe afterdawn is like a women's dorm where they all get their periods at the same time, in which case I'd recommend this:

What's all this talk about hash? I want some waffles. Does anyone know if the new C4E release will be gluten free? My blood pressure tends to skyrocket when I eat too many waffles before the ban hammer drops...but they're so delicious!

well, even after jtag was announced and i unplugged the box, i checked it because of IX 1.6.. but i screwed up Jtag pretty bad, i think it's because i scratched the bottom of the mobo when i started to attempt the jtag. i've just been meaning to buy a new box, but i have no job, and Christmas is rolling around the corner. i just have to find a way to ask for a new box, without pissing off my parents. >.< and with this new box, i will be out of a hard drive again! but i have saw a few ways of connecting the old drive to the new box, so only time will tell.

I usually find some really good used RROD consoles on craigslist. If you can manage to scrape up $30-40, I'd recommend you pick one up, without having to convince your folks to front 120+ for a new one. Plenty of tutorials out there to get you back to square one. I usually have the best luck with 0102 error codes.
As for ABGX, I was being sarcastic...there is mod file floating around out there (see this forum) which patches ABGX to recognize the new waves. Use that with caution as it is not an offical release.
