I've recently bought an PS Jailbreak using back manager v1.0.
My question is as there hasn't been any support for this product lately i.e. updates like the ps3key gets, can i use other programs/homebrews with this usb device(ps jailbreak)?
I've heard of open manager v1.6 and hermes(not sure what that is!:o( )
Can i use the above with the PS Jailbreak as it's never had firmware updates?
I have the official PS Jailbreak. Yes, you can use the other programs. I personally use Open Manager instead of the backup manager. Backup Manager lists the games in the order that you installed them, while Open Manager will list them alphabetically. I have a lot of games installed (I'm using a 750gb internal with a 2tb external to backup games) and not having them listed alphabetically is a real pain.
I ordered it on August 21st and with the shipping delays from the ps jailbreak team, I didn't receive it until September 30th.
However, you are still stuck without hermes payload V3...these people talk really big about how their product has better support than anyone else...and then they won't release even a single update!

Not a very good date considering there is already a more advanced backup manager for EVERY OTHER device.
From what I gather, this is just a cheap clone of the original anyway. The original might be upgradable in theory...but if they never release an update and it does not work with PSgroove, then it isn't upgradable.
