need help with modded xbox

HI, I have posted a few times trying to get my copy of nhl 11 to work, I have tried a few different burners and I get the same result when I put it in the xbox 360, it says play DVD, I thought it was something I was doing but I just received one that I didn't burn. My brother in law just got ripped off on ebay, the guy sent him a burnt copy. I am now pretty certain that it is something to do with the consol. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I can do to it to make this game work and not screw up being able to play the other burnt games I have?

Is your 360 flashed?
If so, with what firmware?
Before burning, do you check the game ISO with ABGX?
What media are you trying to burn to?
The "other" burnt games you have, what media are they burnt to?
What's the newest game you have, that plays?

I'm not sure exactly what flashed is, I got the xbox already modded
I did an upgrade and it was the newest update I could find
Yes I run ABGX and I get errors and can't figure out how to fix them, mostly stealth stuff but the xbox is already banned
there are 112 burned games, don't think you want the whole list but the newest games are nhl 2010, tiger woods 2010, not sure when other games I have came out but so far none of them have any problem playing.

Generally speaking, flashed is when the drive's firmware is erased and changed. Modded is when a modchip is used to to do that job.

You need to post the ABGX log.

Those are wave 2 and wave 3 games, which makes me think you're using IX 1.6 at the most, and need to update to:
IX LT (Samsung)
IX LT 1.1 (Lite-On)
IX LT 1.2 (BenQ)
IX 1.51 (Hitachi)

so I have burned a few more games and I did have some successful ones, but they are older games. Now I am trying to make a boot disk and not sure if I am doing that right, can someone tell me how to make a boot disk

I seriously think he's using an older firmware... Did you get someone to flash/mod the xbox for you? If so, I would check with him as to what firmware he used, and see if he can upgrade the firmware to the newest version.

you can check yourself as to what drive is in your system by pulling off the faceplate, and checking the colour of some wres behind a small hole (google jungleflasher.pdf) and compare to the firmwares listed above.
The only way to know for sure what firmware you have is either go pay someone to do it again, or do your homework and do it yourself.

I don't know who modded the xbox, I got it this way and I can only guess unless there is a way to easily tell

Firmware version will be in the lower left hand corner of the sticker on top of the DVD drive.

pretty easy to upgrade, half open tray, jungle flasher, lt 1.1 and you will be set.

I got it today, for any future people with this problem, it's activate.iso, burn to duel layer disk and it works great.

your using old firm ware if you have to use the activate.iso disk... you may want to try and read up on how to flash the drive yourself and update the firmware. The new firmware does not require you to use that disk
